I was really looking forward to a summer day at Lake Lugano, but this year everything is different. It's cold and it's raining constantly. So I put on my tried and tested rain gear from Iceland and went for a bike ride around the lake anyway. In the end I was glad I had overcome my laziness, because the scenery …

Lugano and the road to Melide have hardly any cycle paths. After that the traffic is less. Morcote is worth a visit and there is a top gelateria!

Hardly any bicycle lanes from Lugano to Melide, but less traffic afterwards. Visit Morcote, beautiful views and the Gelateria there is great!
