The trail leads from the train station in Stillfried, first through the floodplain forest along the March River – past fishing huts on stilts – and later through vineyards and cellar lanes. A beautiful avenue leads up to the church hill and the 1000-year-old fortified church.

Stillfried is also known for its archaeological finds.
