From the parking lot (fee required) at the Rindbach leisure complex in Ebensee, the climb is steep and leads through the forest to one of the most beautiful peaks on Lake Traunsee. The panorama is breathtaking. Traunstein, Gmunden, Altmünster, Ebensee...everything is within view. And the Kleiner Sonnstein actually seems small when you look down at it from the Erlakogel. ;-)
