The original wooden Feldisteg from 1882 enabled the farmers of Altikon and Feldi to reach their vines on the other side of the Thur. It was destroyed in 1893 and replaced by an iron footbridge in 1899. As part of the second Thur correction in 2002, the embankments were raised and the Feldisteg also had to be raised.
