Glaubenberg Pass does not carry a big name like the Gotthard, San Bernardino or Pass Julier but it is just as spectacular. High advisable to do this climb on a weekend to avoid the automobile traffic as this does increase substantially on the weekend. The street on its self is paved with nice soft and well kept asphalt, no potholes or pizza face surface.

Eastern Approach to Glaubenberg

The road from Sarnen to Glaubenberg is an excellent asphalt, however be ready to encounter some steep climbs, often between 10-12%, there are several stretches where one can relax the leg muscles slightly.
