November 22, 2025,22.11.2025 - Von Semmering Passhöhe zum 20-Schilling-Blick

The first snow has fallen ❄️❄️🌨🌨❄️❄️

And the first winter hike from the Semmering Pass via the Villa Trail to the Doppelreiterwarte lookout tower and the 20-Schilling Viewpoint, back along the Hochstraße past beautiful old villas 😊 I also stopped by the Lost Place Alpenstrandbad Semmering.

November 30, 2024,30.11.2024 - 20-Schilling-Blick Runde

Today another hike on the Semmering was on the agenda.

I conquered the Doppelreiterwarte and then went to the "20 Schilling Blick"

On the way back I completed the lab cache at the Südbahnhotel.

The blue fire hydrant is essential because the path continues relatively well hidden here. Otherwise it's hard to get lost.

I have not lost my way. I designed it so that I first walked through the beautiful villa district and then at 2x I went to the twenty schilling view, which is really fantastic.

It was a wonderful round, past many beautiful villas, which of course there are on Semmering and then of course for a 20 Schilling view. The paths were great to walk, so no problem even with more …

Winter hike from Semmering train station via the Semmeringbahnweg to the 20-Schilling-Blick, up to the Wolfsbergkogel and back via the elevated road past beautiful old villas.
If you still know the 20 Schilling note, you will remember it as soon as you look at it.
