One of the nicest ways in which you can avoid the A66 and the obvious way in which you would avoid the A66.

Great on a Gravel bike for about 6km from the Dockray end then deteriorates & gravel turns to boulders & a case of hanging on for grim life to the end. Scenery is stunning as you would expect

Caldew Trail

A long singletrack trail along the hillside below the peaks of Coomb Height, Great Calva, Bowscale Fell and Mungrisdale Common. Best ridden in the drier months, it can get pretty boggy and wet here in winter.

This is the same segment as the Caldew Trail but again its quite tough and technical but good fun. For e bikers this will use a ton of battery so make sure you save some.
