A solo hike up this solitary Munro near Dalwhinnie today, great visibility to the ranges of Ben Macdui and Ben Alder.

The entrance is on the A9, right next to the road at the parking lot. Unfortunately, you can't get any closer by car!
After about 4 km of gravel road, we climbed steeply. The destination was at the top of the plateau. We were rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view of the Cairngorms.

A quick day trip up to Dalwhinnie to climb up Meall Chuaich. There was very little snow remaining as we drove over Drumochter, and only a few patches as we walked in. wildlife was amazing. Ptarmigan at the summit grouse absolutely everywhere and Hares jumping out galore on path back down.. just wow
