Old Country Road Parallel to the A850

The trail mostly runs along the old country road parallel to the A850. It's paved, but closed to through traffic. However, vehicles can access the trail via side access roads. However, in at least half a dozen e-bike rides, we didn't encounter a single vehicle and only encountered one pedestrian. Be careful, at the eastern end, the trail runs between the new and old roads. Anyone coming straight from the west will end up in front of a pile of gravel.

Gravel alternative across from the B885 to Skeabost Bridge. The gates at both ends are unlocked, the gravel is rough but fine all the way across. I wouldn’t take a road bike but my touring bike was fine. Parts are through forest so a great way to avoid the wind.
