Newcastleton Trails

Highlight • MTB Park

The Newcastleton Trails are part of the internationally renowned 7 Stanes network of trails in Scotland. Here you'll find both blue and red routes, as well as the Cross Border Trail bridleway which is a humble but beautiful way to pass between Scotland and England over moorland and forest.

Banked Berms MTB Trail

Highlight • MTB Park

This section has some purpose built banked berms on a downhill section. On September 5th 2024 this section had barriers saying it was closed. I passed through, a fallen tree had landed on a narrow bridge, one of the bridge beams had dropped by about 8 inches, it was very easy to pass by as the tree had been cut down

Someone had an absolutely terrific idea! This Border Stane, on the Scottish/English border, has "Auld Lang Syne" by Robert Burns engraved on the Scottish side, and "Jerusalem" by William Blake on the English side. And you can look through the hole in the middle from England to Scotland or from Scotland to England!
