This is a circular tour. I parked the car at Easthorpe on the road between Malton and Hovingham and then walked down the bridleway, which is called Thackadale Lane. This is a broad farm track with plenty of brambles along its border and occasional bushes with sloes. The track became a path that soon met another farm track.
