Levisham Railway Station

Highlight • Structure

This is a point on the North Yorks Moors Railway where the North and Southbound trains stop before going on single track north or south. Thus, you get the chance to see two trains in a short space of time. Visit the website to get the times for arrival and departure into Levisham station.
Allow 30 minutes for the trek down from Newton on Rawcliffe to the station.

Dalby Bike Barn is an all-things-bike centre right here at the heart of Dalby Forest. You can rent bikes here to then go on the many trails in the area, and also get expert bike advice and get your bike repaired. The shop also does guided rides and skills courses.

Dalby Forest mountain bike trails

Highlight • MTB Park

Dalby is great for a longer ride on a trail centre red. Not as technical as other UK reds but still provides a challenge. If you start at dixons hollow there is a good opportunity to warm up on some of the other trails. The only disadvantage to this is you will need to do some climbing towards the end of the ride. Majority of people start down at the visitor centre, so this is a good alternative when busy.
