Old Dee Bridge Weir

Highlight • Bridge

The Old Dee Bridge in Chester, Cheshire, England is the oldest bridge in the city. It crosses the River Dee and carries the road leading to Handbridge from the end of Lower Bridge Street and the Bridgegate. A bridge on this site was first built in Roman times, and the current bridge is largely the result of a major reconstruction in 1387. It is listed on the National Heritage List for England as a Category I listed building, and is a scheduled monument. (Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Dee_Bridge)

Beautiful down here when the weather is nice. Walk upstream, on the southern side of the river, for half a mile towards Earl's Eye for a stroll across the meadows with a riverside view.
