Alt Rehse is a village and district of the town of Penzlin on the western shore of Lake Tollense. The village ensemble is a rare example of rural architecture built during the Nazi era, architecturally and historically unique in Germany.

Alt Rehse initially belonged to the Premonstratensian monastery of Broda, before 22 different owners subsequently owned the village, situated on Lake Tollense.

Teaching continued until January 1943, while the estate produced goods for the Führerschule and the Reich Chancellery.
