Mulde Bridge at Muldestausee

Highlight • Bridge

A beautiful view of the Muldestausee, which was created from a former open-cast mine. Due to the opencast mining economy, it became necessary to relocate the hollow, and the disused opencast mine was used for this purpose.

Beautiful view of the Muldestausee and on the continuing trough. It gives an idea of the flow rate of the trough. It is Europe's fastest river.

Unfortunately, this cycle path is not easy to ride. Too bumpy and stony route with roots running through it.
There were few free patches of forest for a view of the …

Today there was a small but nice tour around the Muldestausee with a stopover for fish sandwiches near the Red Tower in Pouch. At the tip of the peninsula there was a swim stop to cool off, that was necessary 🥵. Surprisingly, there was little traffic on the slope and so we were able to ski next to each other …

A beautiful, counterclockwise bike tour around the Mulde Reservoir. Starting in Schlaitz, take the old B100 toward Poststrasse/Muldenstein. At the end, turn left over the Mulde outlet weir, then to Bitterfeld Hospital. From there, cycle back along the Goitzsche River to Pouch and the Red Tower. From up there, enjoy a stunning view over the Goitzsche River to Leipzig. Then …
