Man versus Thunderstorm, Part 1: The weather forecast predicted thunderstorms for the early afternoon, and they did arrive.

So my favorite hike if you're in a hurry: The Essen-Rostocker-Hütte, with excellent food and a stunning view of the Maurerkeesköpfe and Simonyspitze.
