This beautiful high plateau is located just before the Stoarne Mandln. Nice location to have a rest too. Here some paths meet and if you are lucky a few cows with horses meet.

Stoanerne Mandln (Stone Cairns)

Highlight • Natural Monument

Driving up the "Stoanernen Mandln" is exhausting, but also a unique experience. With the countless cairns and the 360-degree panorama right in front of the Dolomites, this place is definitely the highlight on the Tschöggelberg.

Nice little trip in Val Sarentino from the Sarentino refuge towards Kesselberghütte and then a splendid path along the coast to the Stone Men on the Hohe Reisch

Fast evening round with great trails! Thanks to the ebike, the uphill to the Mittager is also fun and the annoying pushing can be reduced to a few meters 🤣... the descent to the Meranerhütte is great 🥳😁, at the top flow blocks and wooden stairs then flow again with a few simple hairpin bends. ..a dream 🫠

After-work round trip to the Mittager... after a stressful day, enjoy the soothing, quiet mountain world... apart from the familiar ringing of the bells of the mountain cattle and the whistling of the wind 😄...
I didn't quite make it to the summit cross because of the large amount of old snow, but otherwise the conditions were great!

The first 6km ascent is on tarmac, then beautiful forest paths and alpine pasture paths. 1st stop - Öttenbacher Alm. Continue via Kreuzjoch towards StoanerMandler. Possibility to shorten the circuit via Aueneralm. Descent from PutzerKreuz via forest path only for experienced hikers, otherwise better via tarmac road
