Saint-Cassien Lake Road

Highlight • Trail

This magnificent road which passes through the dam lake of Saint-Cassien, Tanneron and Mandelieu-la-Napoule is also called the mimosas route, as these trees are numerous on this section. Mimosa is a beautiful winter flowering tree, well known for its golden yellow flowers.
This road has a third name: the road of the perched villages of the east of the Var. You will see in addition to beautiful views of the sea at the end of the route, many villages on their promontories.

It was too hot to cycle at midday, so we set off in the afternoon on a very scenic route with manageable climbs and moderate temperatures. It was great!🤗

Very nice circuit with easy to ride moderate climbs and flowing descents. Spectacular panoramas of the mountains and a long descent with a view of the coast illuminated by the evening sun made the tour a pleasure. I'd love to do it again... 😍
