St. Nicholas Parish Church, Vöran

The parish church in Vöran is one of the oldest churches on the entire Tschögglberg and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It was first mentioned in a document in 1330. The walls of the nave date from that time.

Towards the end of the 15th century the apse was given a Gothic style, the nave was fitted with two pointed doors and the tower was also built. In the Baroque period, the nave was supplemented with flat arched windows and a barrel vault, and a side chapel was added. The frescoes, which are historically and art historically interesting but not entirely preserved, depict the coronation of the Virgin Mary.
