August 7, 2023,🇬🇪 Georgien Kaukasus: Kleine Wanderung von Stepanzminda zur St. Elias Kapelle

In the meantime we have arrived in the East Caucasus or Stepanzminda. Today there was only a small house tour to St. Elias Church. View was excellent. We went back through a small forest and then to the café.

The hike from Stepantsminda to the opposite side of Mount Kazbek is also highly recommended. The newly built church, small waterfalls and the (fortunately mostly small) scree avalanches in the afternoon, including clouds of dust, are just as impressive as the horses grazing on the steep slope
