Münster Stadthafen Waterfront

Highlight • Viewpoint

There is always life here. You can sit, eat and drink comfortably in numerous restaurants and bars. But it's also nice to spend time with friends right on the shore. Going for a walk, cycling, jogging, having a picnic, watching ships, ducks and geese, watching the sunset, everything is possible.

Pleister Mill

Highlight • Restaurant

The Pleistermühle is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Münster. Whether you want coffee and cake, a delicious hot meal or just a snack in the beer garden: the food is great! You can also play mini golf and canoe on the Werse. It gets busy on weekends when the sun is shining, but it's always worth a stop.

Werse Cycle Path at Berl Bridge

Highlight • Cycleway

The Werseradweg is really an excellent route. Very rural with many informative signs along the way and opportunities to relax. Very nice route and well marked. A procedure is practically impossible.

Werse River in Albersloh

Highlight • River

The Werse has particularly little current and it is difficult to see in which direction it is now flowing. The Werse has its source near Beckum and runs via Ahlen and Drensteinfurt to Münster. The Werse, which is 67 kilometers long, flows into the Ems behind Münster.

May 20, 2024,Von Amelsbüren über Angelmodde und Handorf nach Amelsbüren
Today we did a lovely tour in Münsterland. We started in Amelsbüren in the direction of Albersdorf. We followed the Werse for a long stretch in the direction of Handorf, and a little refreshment in the Pleistermühle was also on the agenda. We then continued along the canal on excellent paths to the starting point.

Actually, I didn't want to take so many photos, but what can I do to ensure that beautiful motifs appear behind every curve ?! 😀
Very nice tour through the Hohe Ward on very easy to drive roads towards Amelsbüren. There on the Werseradweg via Angelmodde and Handorf to the Dortmund Ems Canal. Although there is a long distance along …

Today, we had one of the most beautiful tours in the region. The first part along the Dortmud-Ems canal on a bicycle highway, with a passage at the ''Münster'' lock which is impressive. Return was done on the banks of the Werse river. Fantastic passage on a gravel path, (this is what we prefer the most.) Winding and very pleasant …
In sunshine and pleasant temperatures, a recommendable bike tour with friends.....😊

One of the most beautiful riverside paths I know. Except along the Guadalquivir or the Ebro, Tiétar, Manzanares, Henares, Guadiana, Ter, Duero, Tormes, Turia.... 🌴🚴‍♂️💃😁
