If you're looking for a challenging adventure, the Lower Purgatory Falls – Middle Purgatory Falls loop from South Wah Lum Reserve is a difficult route covering 53.8 miles (86.5 km) with a significant 3877 feet (1182 metres) of elevation gain, estimated to take 6 hours and 57 minutes. However, despite being categorized for touring cycling, this trail is overwhelmingly unsuitable for touring bikes due to its extremely rugged terrain. This route is best left to experienced mountain bikers or hikers, not those on a touring setup.
