Queen Elizabeth I's Hunting Lodge

Highlight • Historical Site

This stunning museum started life as Henry VIII's hunting lodge. Lying on the edge of Epping Forest, it was built in 1543 and survives with its medieval timber construction. Now named Queen Elizabeth's hunting lodge (after Elizabeth I), it's a fantastic place to visit for the whole family. Even if you're just passing, it's well worth admiring the exterior.
