Nice view of the Lindlarer Sülz, which joins the Kürtener Sülz to the Sülz a little further down the river.

The Sülztalbahn once ran here. Officially, the "Sülztalbahn" doesn't actually exist. After its completion, the railway line was officially called "Cologne-Lindlar" and was divided into several operational sections from Kalk-Süd via Cologne-Mülheim, Cologne-Dellbrück, Bergisch Gladbach, and Rösrath to Lindlar.

Relaxed cycling, expansive valleys, peace and quiet, close to nature. A break from the stress of the city. Climatic health resorts. That's what the larger villages (and towns) along the Agger River are now calling themselves.

June 30, 2025,Sülztalbahntrasse - Runde von Rösrath-Stümpen
Today, in perfect weather, I took a ride with Kalle through the Oberbergisches Land region. We saw several castles, palaces, and plenty of beautiful views along the way.
The 11.9km section (see highlight "Old Cologne-Lindlar Railway Line (Sülztalbahn)") is currently quite overgrown and more suited to mountain biking. It can be skipped and alternatively bypassed via the Sülztalstraße. I would …

Today we cycled in the Bergisches Land again. The cycle paths there are very exemplary 👍, even if they are partly next to the country roads.
That's what happened to us today.
The first 27 km were next to the country road, luckily there isn't much traffic on Sundays.
From Lindlar we cycled through or past the towns of Eichholz, …
