Klus Rocks

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Klusfelsen is probably the most peculiar part of the Klusberge near Halberstadt. The influences of humans are unmistakable on this sandstone massif, which only appears monolithic from a distance. …

Great rocks 🪨 that you can climb. There are beautiful views all around, partly through the rocks. Some of the rocks are heavily eroded and you should be sure-footed. It's a great experience!

From both sandstone rocks you can look at the other, past the Five Finger Rock which is more striking, but the Teufelskanzel has a beautiful view and a small cave.

There was so much to discover today, which I found very refreshing. A highly recommended tour – probably even more attractive in spring when everything is in bloom.

Apart from the train station, I didn't see anything of the city itself today. But I'll definitely make up for that sometime.

Remarkable are the man-made cavities in the sandstone of the Klusfelsen, which were already used as living quarters and places of worship centuries ago.

Today I went to Halberstadt with my wife, @Kochi149, @Natalie 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and Shiva🐺 in warm temperatures⛅️.
At the suggestion of @Susanne Kämpfer, we explored the stark Klusfelsen⛰️ and interesting Spiegelberge🗿 on beautiful forest paths🌳🌲, collected some special stamps💮 and discovered exciting beetles🐜!
As a reward there was also a decent currywurst back home - what more could you want 👌!?

Castle, towers, cliffs and rock towers in a small space. Great for a spontaneous idea. Unfortunately there are a lot of glass panes below the rocks. Beware of dogs

After clearing the snow from the car, I went to the Klusfelsen today.
Just a few 100m from the parking lot, the impressive Fünffingerfels and the Teufelsstuhl. Beautifully lit in the morning light.
After I had photographed them extensively, it spontaneously continued.
There were enough nice destinations lt komoot, Bismarck tower, hunting lodge .... and many small caves
