Very nice technical monument in a field, but easy to get to.
A board provides comprehensive information about the importance of measurement.
From here, the 1st order station No. 13 (Udohöhe) and the 2nd order station Beutenberg No. 92, Taurastein No. 93, Bräunsdorf No. 95 and Erlau No. 99 were targeted. Station 92 is unfortunately no longer preserved. However, all elevations are easy to see with the naked eye. Especially Taurastein and Bräunsdorf through the distinctive water towers.

Historic Cable Ferry Anna

Highlight • Structure

A "must" just call "ferryman or woman, get over!" On the western shore of Zschopau waits the "water tavern" with good food and cool drink. Who then fears the climb to the "cow shed" with the bike, sets over again to experience the same cheeks on the eastern shore. The single trail on the eastern shore of Zschopau currently not passable, or not passable for older hikers. The fall risk for cyclists as well as for hikers very high. Maybe this status will change soon.

Pegmatite Mine Entrance Schönborn

Highlight • Historical Site

The pegmatite tunnels have been searched several times for various ore. However, no such deposit was ever identified that could have justified the mining of a mine.

The mining building "Joseph- und Marienzug Erbstolln", hereinafter referred to as "JME", is located not far from the village of Sachsenburg, a district of the town of Frankenberg. The mining field is located in the landscape protection area "Mittleres Zschopautal". This mining monument of the former Sachsenburg mining can be reached via the Bruhmweg downstream on the right bank of the Zschopau from the Fischerschänke in the direction of the Krumbacher ferry. Before reaching the Vogelsang valley, the hiker discovers a peculiar "hole" to the right of the path. This "hole", originally surrounded by a wooden fence as a barrier, is covered with a massive steel grate. When there is no water in the hole, the hiker sees a steel door discolored by iron-rich water. This is the adit of the "JME" in its current state.
