April 6, 2025,nördlicher Deister 🌳🌲 Sonne ☀️ und nette Gesellschaft 🫶🏻
Today, I was out and about in the northern Deister with @Sandra Heeren and @Christian Heeren in the perfect weather. Christian had planned a varied tour that was very beautiful and completely new territory for me 😁👍.

We started at the parking lot at the Mooshütte, then > Belvedere Tower > Devil's Bridge (with a drink break) > Rodenberger Höhe …

Today we're taking another tour in the Deister😊.

Before anyone looks for what the high, moss-covered Kreuzbrückenburg tower is: A summary of the most important highlights of our tour🤣.

The idea started on the way to Kreuzbuche when Christian said: "We can actually call it Kreuzbrücke, since we were just at the Teufelsbrücke."
Sandra: "Yes, but then the Rodenberg Heights …

After it rained all morning today, we urgently needed to go outside again in the afternoon to enjoy the wonderful smell after the rain💚.

The tour we chose is one of our favorite tours in the Deister😀. I particularly like the Rodenberger Höhe, but I also love the paths through the different forests💚, sometimes you can see a few unusual …

This was our first hike in the Deister. Unfortunately, the route was very monotonous and rather boring. In my opinion, there were no real highlights. At least the weather was great. There are a few places to stop along the way, but we didn't try any of them. The Mooshütte looked the most comfortable :)

Today we quickly went to the Deister before the week can start 😉.

If we don't have that much time, we usually start near the Mooshütte, as it can be reached very quickly from us via the A2.

Surprisingly, despite all the rain, the paths weren't very muddy and were easy to walk on today. However, some newly tipped trees …

We hiked for hours through the beautiful beech forest. It's not really steep going up and the descent is moderate. All the paths are easy to walk. There is shade everywhere. It's definitely good to walk in high summer temperatures. There were four places to stop for refreshments on the hike. We used two of them and were not disappointed. …

Unfortunately, there was no time for the Belvedere Tower on Strutzberg...

For the first time in a while, we managed to go on a tour with some of my (ex-) colleagues. Not on Friday but on Sunday, and strictly speaking we are no longer colleagues since I no longer work for the company, but none of that matters 😉.
