We went from one highlight to the next on sometimes adventurous paths. The view from the Ochsenstiegl of the foehn Alps, then Ranfels Castle with its chapel, which apparently stands on the castle wall. Challenging, scenically beautiful, varied circular hike mostly on well-trodden forest, meadow and field paths, but also on old, unmarked slope paths, partly on beautiful paths along the Große Ohe with particularly fantastic views from Ranfels Castle or the Ochsenstiegl viewing tower. The altitude difference to be covered should not be underestimated. Some sections require a sense of direction.
