View of Cardiff Marina

Highlight • Trail

This freshwater bay has two contributory rivers - Rivers Taff and Ely. There is a circular Cardiff Bay Trail which is signposted. I'd recommend pulling up the map however as it's sometimes to miss one of the signs: outdoorcardiff.com/walks/cardiff-bay-trail/?cn-reloaded=1.

This route can be hiked or cycled and is approx 10km though that can be shortened in certain sections.

The Embankment section puts you in the middle of sea and bay, and the 360 sky vista is really magnificent!

Cardiff Bay Jetty Lookout

Highlight • Bridge

This little jetee ends in a wooden platform which puts you over the bay waters, and gives views on the boats moored there, and the Eastern side of the bay

A great place for wildlife photography (if you like the birded type). Lots of swans a d ducks and doves and others all going about their day

The Enormous Crocodile statue in Cardiff Bay is a playful tribute to the beloved character from Roald Dahl’s story. It adds a touch of fun to the waterfront area and celebrates Dahl’s connection to Cardiff, where he was born.

Cardiff Bay Aqua Park

Highlight • Rest Area

Not had a chance to have a go on this, but looks like should be quite the challenge. Should be an enjoyable afternoon with friends!

The church was built in recognition of the friendship and trade with Norway. The building stands out with its Nordic architecture.

Roald Dahl was christened here and along the bay, you can also find Dahl's Very Large Alligator
