March 16, 2025,Schöne, grenzüberschreitende Rundfahrt von Erkelenz in den Meinweg
A truly beautiful tour. The section through the Meinweg is particularly charming. It takes you on a very pleasant road through forest and heathland. Daelenbrook Castle is also well worth a look. A shout out to my friend Fiete, on whose advice I put the puncture spray in my pannier two days before the tour. In the firm belief that …

A truly beautiful tour with plenty of places to stop for refreshments. The Marktschänke in Schwanenberg is especially recommended, with its delicious food, beer garden, and friendly staff. The beef cheeks are delicious. 🍀👍🍀

Today the Heinsberg district was on the agenda. The start and finish was Erkelenz.
We went via Gerderath and Birgelen to the De Mainweg National Park.
You could tell straight away that we were in the Netherlands.
The cycle paths were simply fantastic. We went back to Erkelenz via Lüttelforst, Rickelrath and Holtmühlensee.

As FC fans, it was not a completely safe undertaking 😉But we were very relaxed 🤣🤣
After crossing the border into the Netherlands, we were immediately rewarded with perfect cycle paths and the De Meinweg National Park is a green, natural oasis 🌲🌲🌲 the only deficit …
