The Fontaine du Pont-de-Cité or Fontaine de Neptune is a fountain in Arras, France, located on the Place du Pont-de-Cité, on the corner of Rue du 29-Juillet and Rue Saint-Aubert. The fountain was built between 1864 and 1865 and was designed by François Constant Bourgois. The sculpture that adorns the fountain, called “Fleuve”, was made by Vital-Dubray and was cast by the fonderie Ducel in Pocé-sur-Cisse. Mont-Saint-Éloi Abbey Ruins and View over the Scarpe Valley

The army of Louis XI camped there in the 15th century during the siege of Arras, as the Prince of Condé did opposite Turenne two centuries later. But the revolution sold the walls as a national asset and during the world wars (especially in 1915 and 1940) the building was almost completely destroyed.
