Fosse Way Gravel Section

Highlight • Trail

Built by the Romans during their rule of Britain, the Fosse Way road connected Exeter and Lincoln via Bath, Cirencester and Leicester. Running 230 miles (370 km) in total, the road is now popular with off-road bikers. Expect to push in places if you are not on a mountain or gravel bike, as it can be muddy and rocky in places.

Really enjoyable byway to cycle along. Wouldn't recommend going on a road bike unless there's been a dry spell of weather as there are some large puddles and bumps. However, very rideable for CX, gravel and MTB alike. Really nice section to get off the roads

Castle Combe Village

Highlight • Settlement

Castle Combe is often hailed as the ‘prettiest village in England.' Situated within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the quintessentially English village has regularly been used as a filming location in movies. The village boasts 13th-century architecture and places to grab a tasty treat.

Stone Bridge Over the River Avon

Highlight • Viewpoint

Careful on the downhill approach to this. There has been heavy erosion. There is a path over the bridge. Hopefully, someone will have done some "conservation" (or repair) work on it since last year.
