Plaza de Toros de Linares

Highlight • Monument

The Linares Bullring, also known as the Santa Margarita Bullring, was built in 1866, and inaugurated a year later with a Miura bullfight, with the presence of the swordsmen Antonio Carmona, "El Gordito" and Manuel Carmona , "Baker".

The most well-known and outstanding event that occurred in this arena is the death of the bullfighter Manolete in August 1947, gored by the bull Islero. Next to the gang gate there is a ceramic and marble plaque commemorating that tragic afternoon at the fair.

It has a ring 50 meters in diameter and its alley 1.30 meters wide. It has a capacity of 10,500 spectators.

Plaza España (La Carolina)

Highlight • Monument

In it we can see two Monoliths, these are two Foundation Monoliths, carried out in masonry that are topped with bulbous domes and pinnacles. The one on the right is dedicated to Carlos III and the other to Carlos IV. In the central areas, reliefs of the daily life of the settlers are represented.

Town Hall

Highlight • Monument

It occupied part of the prison site and was built in the mid-19th century. Also made in ashlar masonry and divided into two bodies with molded inset openings. Both the clockwork body and the bell tower are from 1878, in an eclectic style. Possibly its design is due to the architect Jorge Porrúa.
