Ruggell Rhine Embankment

Highlight • Cycleway

Cycling is recommended on both sides of the Rhine. The cycle path in FL is further away from the motorway and therefore much quieter.

It wasn't quite as nice and mild as on Saturday, but at least I escaped the fog and was outside.

Up the Rhine with tailwind (Bise), from Mäls to Sargans then disturbing headwind. Rode briskly but not fast, practically all flat.
It was a perfect day, great weather (25-28°C), full sun, mostly tailwind, and with the still white mountains a great landscape 🌞😍

It started to blow crazy in the night and I've been dreaming about flying with the wind. And the idea came suddenly to my mind 😁
I took a train to Sargans and let the wind push me to the north along the Rhein Valley. More than 30 kmh without pedalling!! 🤸 What a feeling! Totally crazy 😂 And highly …
I saw the snow-capped mountains on the horizon, glowing gold and powder pink in the first sunlight, and I knew, I'll just be cycling in their direction, magnetised by their beauty...
And then I went back, as I filled my heart and eyes with what I love 🩷
