South of the Gedser marina there is a beautiful sandy beach. Otherwise the beach is typical for the Baltic Sea with stones and cliffs.

Our fifth stage on the Berlin - Copenhagen cycle route took us from Rostock to Marielyst in Denmark.

From Rostock via the well-known cycle paths to the overland terminal. Then a ferry ride to Gedser in Denmark.

We hadn't cycled a kilometer before we had our first breakdown. Then we headed north on beautiful field and dam paths.
