Horse Head Oak (Pedunculate Oak)

Highlight • Natural Monument

Another monument of nature. But here you can see quite clearly that the oak trees have reached their lifespan. Nevertheless: impressive! 😃

A little poem from me:
Spring awakening

Open your eyes and see what Mother Nature can offer you.

What could be better than the emergence of new life.

Wherever you look, there is no stopping it

everything has to unfold anew.

Golden as far as the horizon, the rapeseed is blooming

every plant is presented in fresh green

The Ivenacker oaks are very impressive, the treetop path with a viewing platform up to approx. 36 m high is also great. Both definitely worth seeing.

always works No matter what time of year. No EC card payment is currently possible at the checkout. Landesforst runs the snack bar itself. That means trying lots of game products. Good this way. Fallow deer simply stroll through the grounds. Varied route. And very old trees.

The wonderful autumn Sunday wanted to be used and so it was decided to sneak around the oak trees in Ivenack. In the early morning there wasn't much going on either, so it was a relaxed round with Pavel and my two girls. Coffee and snacks at the venison stand were also included. All in all a successful little excursion …

Our boys invited us to visit the Ivenacker Eichen.
A great thing! Beautiful to look at, even if the leaves were still missing!
There is a treetop path and also a small animal park (open-air enclosure). It can happen that fallow deer or moufflons hop across the path. Admission: 11€, reduced 9€ incl. treetop path.
Parking/toilet free.
Highly Recommended! 😄

The 1000 year old Ivenacker oaks are around 600 years old. Worth seeing from the treetop path. Those who dare to go all the way up can also see the lake with the castle. Fallow deer graze at the baroque pavilion. You can watch the pigs from the boardwalk. I haven't seen any.

The Ivenacker oaks are a gem for all tree lovers. Fortunately, money has been invested to pass on some forest knowledge to the next generation. There are free-roaming fallow deer that can be fed at the café, and pigs and mouflons, horses... Anyone who wants to can explore the surrounding castle grounds and the church.

All alone in the rain through the Ivenacker forest.
Was very nice and interesting to stand in front of the gigantic oak trees that are between 800 and 1000 years old.
