Silbersee Recreation Area

Highlight • Lake

for information from the net:
The Silbersee, a quarry pond created as part of the motorway construction in the 1960s, is very popular with bathers due to its easy accessibility, excellent bathing water quality and good infrastructure.
A large lawn for sunbathing borders the north-western bathing beach, in the immediate vicinity you will find showers, toilets, a snack bar and, especially as an attraction for children and young people, a diving board, diving tower, slide and beach volleyball field.
The quiet southern bathing beach fits into the natural and picturesque idyll of the Silbersee.
With a lake area of 7 hectares, the lake is also very attractive for sporty swimmers, the maximum depth is 9 m.
The lake is supervised by the DLRG in the summer months if the weather conditions allow.
You can find more information on how to get there, how to get there, parking and camping sites at: [stuhr.de)

The Silbersee is an excavated lake in the municipality of Stuhr in the district of Diepholz. The lake, which was created in the 1960s when the Federal Motorway 1 was built, is located south of Moordeich and west of Brinkum directly on the motorway. The lake, which is used as a bathing lake, is largely surrounded by shrubs. There are campsites in the south and west. There is also a sanitary facility and a snack bar.
