The mill was built in an open field in 1851 and was still in commercial operation as a mixed feed mill until 1987. The grinding and conveyor technology is completely available and restored in 2019-2023. In Labbus, the mill-typical operating processes and the development of the technology over a period of more than 100 years up to the 1960s can be illustrated very well with the technology running.
Two classifiers and a roller mill, which are currently being restored and installed, will ensure that the mill will be able to produce finer types of flour in addition to wholemeal flour and baking grist.
