Hasel spring

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Hasel or Haselbach is a right tributary of the Orb in the Hessian Spessart. The source was dammed for fish farming. Trout live in the crystal clear water of the Hasel spring. The spring water is then fed into another pond.

Nice hike in the forest, good for hot summer days. There is also a Kneipp facility at the end - freshly restored. At the end we have a small detour. Made and enjoyed an ice cream.

A very beautiful tour on mostly wooded paths. There are plenty of benches for resting.

Starting with a steep climb, you quickly leave the village and pass the oak tree. Then, after an easier second climb, it's all downhill to the Kneipp facility. The wet path is very refreshing.

After a fairly steep climb right at the beginning of the route, the circular route became increasingly more relaxed.

Despite today being a public holiday (Whit Monday), there was surprisingly little activity. Except for the area around the Haselruhe hunting lodge, I actually didn't encounter anyone. That was the best part of the day.

There is a very steep section, the last part is also steep, but at least it is steep downhill
