Experience has shown that parking at the train station is optimal, and the walk to Schliersee isn't that long either.

July 12, 2022,Runde um den Schliersee über Westerberghöhenweg
Here you have the choice..Either you stay down, on the pram-friendly path around the lake, or you follow the variant via the Westerberg Högenweg, which, however, involves a few sweaty meters in altitude😅😁. However, we were almost alone on this variant... To Schliersee... There we then joined the "bustle" again. 🥳😉

Today (unfortunately) our farewell tour from / on the Schliersee 🥺

At the end of the day, we extended the circuit around the Schliersee, the Schlierseer Höhenweg, above the west bank - that, contrary to expectations, gave us some very nice views again ⛰🥰

Once again I finished the tour and uploaded it, but the train journey back was still recorded. Well, I cut it again and now it fits halfway. Actually we wanted to walk over the Grindelalm to Tegernsee Brauhaus (Wittho1 Tour) but the app announced heavy rain from 2 p.m. and we decided to go around the lake with the Höhenweg. …

Hike from Fischhausen along the lake, ascend to the high-altitude hiking trail at the Rixneralm, and follow a stunningly beautiful path along the Breitenbach stream at the Waxenstein reservoir to Schliersee. The hike ends at the Milchhäusl.

We started at Schliersee train station, walked a short distance through the town, and then immediately climbed steeply uphill. We passed alpacas and crossed deserted alpine meadows. Here, and at other points along the way, we had fantastic views of Lake Schliersee. The path is varied and easy to walk, though a bit muddy in places due to the time …

Rain was forecast, but we had sun. 😍 We didn't want to do the lazy walk right by the lake, so we climbed the mountains on either side of the lake to get our butts in shape. It was great!

Tough, but a tour with a lot to see.
