... the mountain railway route is more of an "S0" MtB trail at the moment - the forest workers have done a great job 🙈

Today we went via Unterburg to the Müngstener Bridge, from there on over the mountain railway line to the Korkenziehertrasse, through Solingen, then on over the Nordbahntrasse through Wuppertal. I got a bit lost and turned on my sat nav. Even the fast routes have their pitfalls 😬😬😂

Great tour, certainly not always easy to cycle (various short, steep climbs), but whatever, I took a Pedelec and the second battery with me.
It's definitely not for city cyclists who just want to cycle on asphalt and now that the nasty wet, muddy season is starting, you really have to expect slipping and puddles on some sections (be careful, …

I cycled this tour for the first time last fall, but with these already summery temperatures it was even nicer:
naturparkbergischesland.de/tour/bergischer-radring

The route cleverly combines several railway lines with the corresponding advantages, i.e. only a slight to moderate incline and i. i.e. R. very well paved.

Today the "Bergischer Radring" as a perfect June Sunday together with @UlRo: You can park safely and free of charge in the P+R car park in Wuppertal-Vohwinkel. From there it starts straight away with the Wuppertal Nordbahntrasse and various tunnels.

The Bergischer Radring links the old railway lines Nordbahntrasse, Balkantrasse and Korkenziehertrasse to create an impressive circular tour.
You do have to ride more uphill than stated in the original description, but you will be rewarded with the odd rapid descent if you like that.
Between the railway lines you ride through town (sometimes not so nice), fields and forests. …

It was a wonderful tour today. Almost alone on the paths in glorious sunshine.
Cyclist heart what more could you want 🤩🤩🤩
