Alois Röck, the Hohenaschau castle chaplain and religion teacher, chaplain at the Stein school, around 1920.
The dwarf school never had more than 30 to 40 students, who were taught in the one-class elementary school. The school was opened in 1908, before that there was only one in Niederaschau and one three hours' walk away in the mountain village of Sachrang.
The Stein school was closed in 1969
