Here you have a beautiful view of Salzburg. From Gersberg, the Lambergsteig leads directly to the Nockstein and further to Koppl. A marked Alpine Club trail runs along the northern flank of the Gersberg up to the Gaisberg plateau, although surefootedness is required on the alpine trail, which zigzags through the steep terrain.

Virtually within walking distance of the city, there are countless opportunities to climb this 1,200-meter-high mountain with its antenna that can be seen from far away. It's virtually impossible to get lost or go astray, you'll always come out somewhere and, if you can see the city, you'll also be able to get back down again. The Goas and the hut on the summit plateau invite you to stop for a rest.

If your legs are heavy, there's also a bus that takes you straight back to the city for a few euros.
