June 16, 2021,Von Lühe (Fähre) nach HH HafenCity, zurück über Finkenwerder
We enjoyed the tour along the Elbe and crossing the Elbe with the passenger ferry was as easy as taking the bus
Taking the bikes with you is completely uncomplicated.
We got to know Hamburg from a different angle on the tour.

A beautiful tour from Lühe along the Elbe River, past Blankenese to the Landungsbrücken (landing bridges). Then take the ferry (route 62) to Finkenwerder and through the fruit-growing region via Jork back to the starting point.

We were actually really keen to get some fresh air on the North Sea today, but the drive would have been too far with the prospect of a heavy shower. So we opted for a North Sea-light cruise on the Elbe, including our first crossing on the Lühe-Schulau ferry

Today's destination was Hamburg. At the last minute we caught the ferry from Lühe to Schulau. From there it always went along the river in the direction of Hamburg. Blankenese at the gates of Hamburg was well worth seeing with its steep stairs and narrow streets. In Hamburg we parked our bikes and strolled through the shopping streets. 😥. In …

When we planned the long weekend in the Altes Land, I had never heard of the Roman Garden in Hamburg. At the time, I hadn't yet heard of Marion Lagoda's wonderful novel - "A Garden Above the Elbe". Then a friend gave me this book. And it's great! The plot of the novel begins in 1913, when the first woman …

Very interesting tour, starting from the Lühe pier (near Grünendeich) with the Lühe-Schulau ferry across the Elbe in the direction of Hamburg. Past Blankenese to St. Pauli Landungsbrücken. Cross the Elbe back there with another ferry and, as a highlight, look at the Airbus factory from a lookout tower. The way back always along the Elbe to the Lühe-Anleger. The …
