An absolute dream stretch of road that's above the treeline with expansive views. The road surface suffers during the winter months so not always advisable unless you're on a more robust bike. Gorgeous during spring and autumn with wild flowers.

A lovely quiet road along the base of Carrock Fell and across Caldbeck Common. Watch out for the odd pothole and the soft verges as well as the wild fell ponies. The crossing from Mosedale to Hesket Newmarket is fanatstic.
