Sleddale Hall

Highlight • Structure

This is the location where the outside scenes of "With Nail and I" were filmed. House is privately owned and under a loving restoration project. We were lucky to chat with the owner.

I did this in the middle of July and even then it was incredibly wet and boggy - I call this Bog Snorkelling and I have a weird affinity for it but might not be for everyone - the river at the end is a welcome dry spot

Mosedale Cottage Bothy

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Mosedale Cottage is one of only three bothies in the Lake District, and probably the most remote of the three. It sits out of sight of any roads, towns or houses and is only accessible on foot or by mountain bike. BE AWARE can be boggy, fire in the cottage to dry out your feet

Sadgill Bridleway

Highlight • Trail

Gets rougher- not too bad for mountain bikes but rough for my skills on skinnier tyres though I’m sure it’s doable.

View of the Lake District Hills

Highlight • Viewpoint

These elevated locations are not easy to ride on. You can not seem to get anywhere at pace. Up and down, weaving the bike to the best ride line

These roads are pleasing to get too. Previous sections are very physically demanding and energy sapping. Time for an easier ride on these roads
