Old Country Road Parallel to Liebethaler Grund

Wavy road with rough asphalt. Hardly any traffic as it is closed to through traffic. Therefore, branches and leaves often lie on the road in autumn. The landscape is quite beautiful. However, I prefer the "new" country road that runs parallel here, through the better asphalt and more beautiful views to the Ore Mountains.

Fairly easy climb or nice descent on the Grundstraße in Mockethal. Connection to the road to Dorf Wehlen, which I often take as an alternative to the Elbe cycle path. Especially now, as there is still construction work on the Elbe cycle path between Pirna and Wehlen.
The road is little used, the Grund is continuously built-up and is very beautiful and quiet. Also suitable for hiking, to discover both sides of the Grund. On the eastern height, you have a very nice view of Pirna.

Oberpoyritz–Söbrigen Scenic Road

Probably the most beautiful way to get back to the Elbe from Lohmener Strasse (extension of Pillnitzer Landstrasse) near Oberpoyritz, or the other way around.

Top asphalt, practically no car traffic. Beautiful views over the Elbe from Oberpyritz, or the Pillnitz vineyards in the opposite direction.
