Footbridge Over the Afon Gwaun

Highlight • Bridge

The Gwaun meanders through landscapes of marsh, woodland
and water meadows. The valley sides are thickly wooded, with tightly packed oaks growing on sometimes challenging gradients.

Spring can be an amazing time of year to visit, with the woods full
of wild bluebells.

Gwaun Valley

Highlight • Natural

The beautiful Gwaun Valley runs from Lower Town Fishguard towards The Preseli Mountains. It's a peaceful, steep-sided valley and is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It has a unique "lost-in-time" kind of atmosphere and an abundance of wildlife and prehistoric sites.

Bluestone Brewing Co.

Highlight • Restaurant

Bluestone Brewery is situated on a working family farm, Tyriet. The water used to make the beer comes from the farms own well. If you love craft beer this is a must-visit. There is a shop and tea-room on-site. Make sure you have room in your cycle panniers to take a couple of bottles home with you.

Market Street, Newport

Highlight • Settlement

At the centre of the lovely little Pembrokeshire town of Newport is Market Street. There's still a market here every Monday morning between March and December. The surrounding streets have plenty of great places to eat and drink after a walk along the coast path or up the local "mountain", Mynydd Carningli.

13.2 km

Mynydd Carningli, (meaning something along the lines of "Rocky Summit of the Angels") is a really beautiful hill to summit, affording fantastic views across Dinas Head and Newport. You'll gain just over 200 metres in approx 3km. It's worth it!
