The construction of St. Antonius Church in Bispingen was decided in 1899, the foundation stone was laid nine years later, and on November 8, 1908, the completion of the neo-Gothic church, which cost 107,000 marks and was designed and built by Eduard Wendebourg.
For the base and the masonry of the tower, erratic boulders from the surrounding area were used, and for the rest of the construction, approx. one million bricks were used from the brickworks in Brackel. The pulpit, the altarpiece, and the bronze baptismal font were taken over from the Ole Kerk.
