The Circus, Bath

Highlight • Historical Site

The Royal Crescent is a row of 30 terraced houses laid out in a sweeping crescent in the city of Bath, England. Designed by the architect John Wood, the Younger and built between 1767 and 1774, it is among the greatest examples of Georgian architecture to be found in the United Kingdom and is a Grade I listed building. Although some changes have been made to the various interiors over the years, the Georgian stone façade remains much as it was when it was first built.

Descent to Batheaston

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

At the top of the climb this descent is totally worth it to smash the remaining miles goinf toward Bath! It is really open so any corners are easy with tons of view up ahead which really aids confidence.

Very sheltered from the wind as you descend in toward Batheaston and eventually Bath.

Neston Back Lane

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Great quiet lane, I always feel like I'm in riding through the Brittany countryside here. On a clear day you get a view all the way to Devizes Roundway Hill to the east & Westbury White Horse to the south.

Climb out of Bath on fairly quiet route. Steep at the start through the High Street but becomes a steady gradient with a little dash of downhill in the middle to recover. Passes entrance to Kingsdown Quarries opposite The Swan pub.
